About the Role

As Chief Editor, you will lead the charge in crafting impactful digital and print communications that resonate with our vibrant community and beyond. From developing a bi-monthly newsletter to creating engaging content for social media, your work will help amplify Latin Community Hub’s mission and ensure our stories are promoted throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a dynamic and impactful social media presence on LCH-approved platforms
  • Develop drafts, review, and refine digital and print communications, including posters, brochures, and leaflets in collaboration with the Executive Committee.
  • Design and manage a new bi-monthly LCH Newsletter to engage and inform our membership base and broader audience.
  • Build and lead a journalistic team to document and report on major LCH events.
What We’re Looking For
  • Editorial Experience: Practical editorial experience, especially in technical writing, journalism, or graphic design is highly regarded. You should also exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical Skills: We value strong skills in advocacy, negotiation, teamwork, and leadership, alongside a keen interest in deepening your understanding of public affairs and broadening your professional network.
  • Cultural Alignment: We seek a candidate with Non-For-Profit experience who can connect with the Hispanic community in Australia. You must be able to articulate how at least one of LCH’s Core Values applies to your life. Knowledge of the Spanish language will be highly regarded.
  • Commitment & Availability: A commitment of at least 12 months and an average of 5 hours weekly to support LCH’s mission effectively. Additionally, you must be available to plan, coordinate, collaborate, and manage scheduled events for portfolio development.
