About the Role
The Web and Database Designer role ensures LCH’s digital platforms run seamlessly while advancing our mission to create meaningful social impact. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT systems, the website, email server, shared document repositories, and cloud security, ensuring their efficiency and alignment with organizational goals
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance IT systems, website, email server, shared document repositories, cybersecurity, and social media platforms.
- Develop, implement, and educate on cybersecurity measures to protect organizational assets.
- Design and maintain Database systems including SharePoint-like cloud repositories with Least Privilege access.
- Identify and integrate cost-effective, innovative technologies that support LCH’s activities, with a focus on nonprofit-friendly tools.
- Collaborate with the Chief Editor, Marketing Leader, Graphic Designer Leader, and senior leadership to align digital strategies with organizational priorities.
What We’re Looking For
- An experienced professional with a genuine interest in non-profit organizations and a connection to the Hispanic community in Australia.
- A commitment of at least 12 months and an average of 5 hours weekly to support LCH’s mission effectively.
- A blend of technical proficiency, creativity, and organizational skills, including web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS like WordPress), SEO, database management, and cybersecurity.
- The position also involves troubleshooting multimedia and integrating social media platforms with unified content.
- Project and time management, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the organization’s mission to enhance community outreach and engagement.
